Re: For those struggling with joining binding ends together

That is best way I have seen yet for finishing the binding. Thanks so much for this link Monique! I have used Sharon Shamber's method for years and while it creates a beautiful finish, it is a bit more confusing, I think. This one is simple, easy and gives a beautiful finish. In other words, my new method. lol

This is a great way to do binding. I have another method that works for me, but I think I'll try this one and see if it is easier.

I still get tangled up with tails. As a result, I use the "pocket method" by Heirloom Creations. Fool proof - and I am often the biggest fool. Attaching the binding starts at 2:49. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWh90tXr7g4

I have never seen that 90 degree fold trick anywhere, can't wait to try it! I always get twisted up....

I hadn't seen it either but it sure helps from keeping me all twisted. I have used it a few times and it works like a charm.

🤗 Mind blown! I'll never have one side twisted or that one seam going the opposite angle of all the others again! Thanks for sharing!

Re: For those struggling with joining binding ends together

I always tuck my ends inside each other and join my ends straight across. It is much easier for me than fiddling with the diagonal and getting it to fit just right. I decided that 100% of people getting a quilt from me could care less and it wouldn't even occur to them that somewhere on the quilt the binding is pieced together, so they wouldnt even look at that part.
