    New To Me

Of course I am one of those new to quilting that has watched many videos on binding and how to join the 2 ends, I just came across this way, Has anyone done it this way?

This is how I connect my ends and it works great.

That's a terrific way to attach the ends. I've never seen it done that way before. It would especially work well on small projects where it's too difficult to use the binding tool. I do have to say, though, that I use 2" binding strips so I always have a full binding. If using 2.5" binding strips I would definitely add extra batting around the perimeter of the quilt so it's a full binding.

I find I get the best result joining binding ends when using a tutorial that someone mentioned in a previous thread, can't remember who, sorry. It is on YouTube.......'Quilt Binding, The Final Connection'.....Cassandra Plott. Worth a look but sorry don't know how to do a link either.

              Found it-

And I think I like this way even better.
The first way is how I have been doing it, and like it, but it's noticeable. I think the above will be just as easy and less noticeable.
Thanks for posting the name of the video!

Yes, the way I learned is very similar to this (first way). I find it very easy.

I found this a while back and it finally helped me do bindings with ease... she makes it simple...)

I find the first way of slipping in the tail to the folded end leaves a bulky binding at that spot. The second way (video "the final connection") is much smoother and very easy.

That's how I've always done mine. I did try Jenni's way once and it worked fine, too. No binding tool for me - I've watched my friend struggle with it more than once.

I love the final connection video. Will give a try tomorrow. I have stacks of things to bind laying around.

This is the easiest way I have found for me to attach the binding and it works every time.
