We just recently had some discussion about random and controlled scrappy quilts. Here's an interesting video from Quiltmaker's. The demo is showing you how to make your scrappy quilt a success using a Bonnie Hunter quilt block as an example. Even though we think Bonnie Hunter just grabs anything to put in her quilts I really think that's not quite the case. I've made quilt tops with random placements. But, I do a final block layout always and if I see too much of one color together, I'll toss those around with others to balance it out.Comment
