Re: Creating Pixel Blocks Using Grid Interfacing – A Tutorial
How fun! Thanks!
Katie I thought about you this morning. I heard this weird noise on my deck and a Corgi had wandered up and was eating the cat food. I wonder if she wondered up right when you were posting this to tell me to make one of these. lol🌺 Lorie

Re: Creating Pixel Blocks Using Grid Interfacing – A Tutorial
I'm very much a beginner so maybe there is something obvious I am missing but why can't you use convert the pattern to strips/squares and piece normally? It's tedious calculations to convert and one must keep track of lots of shapes of pieces but then there is a lot less seaming. Is is a stability issue?

Nja… I get what you mean but pixels on a screen don't have edges at the inside "seams". They are flat colour panels. The pixellated look comes from the blocky edges. Although having _some_ inner seams but not all inner seams may throw off the balance of the look. I think I'm off to test a few ideas...

You can also piece this normally, it would just be tedious and all the intersections might not match up perfectly.Katie's Quilting Corner
