    Trying again...Quilted Journal Cover

This quilted book cover is easier than it looks! It's a great way to use scraps or orphaned quilt blocks. There are endless ways to vary it, and it makes a great gift. It's even a good beginner project for kids.

That's beautiful! Thanks for sharing it. I have a book with this technique. I'm going to have to look for it now!

I would be interested in knowing what book that is if you find it :-)

I had it right here in my book rack. A nice member Pam sent it to me. Thanks Pam!

In the book it's called Funky Curvy Rail

If you scroll on the look inside feature all the way down it is on the back cover. Green rails.

Cool, thanks! That looks like actual curved piecing, mine is raw edge appliqué... sort of.... even easier :-)

Nothing wrong with that. Then you can use all those cool stitches. And metallic thread. I love using that stuff!

I have made a few covers but not like the fabric like this. This is a cool way to use scraps. I have covered the composition notebooks for the grand kids and they love them.
