My pastels Mosaic quilt start--organizing ideas so far

I wanted to have another scrap quilt in progress so I started this Mosaic and thought I would share what I am doing to make it organized for myself and also do some strips sets with it. Here are the 1st 3 blocks. When I make a row of strips sets (check out the pattern to understand how it is put together) then I add that to the bag. Row 1 & 9 are the same so they go in the same bag, etc. Then I have one bag for 3.5 X 2 inch pieces and 2 X 2 pieces for when I want to just make one strip for a row by itself. mosaic2.jpg mosaic3.jpgThe next photo show the piles of 3.5 in. strips and 2 in. strips. If this doesn't make sense and you want more detail, let me know. Next time I will try to use a better phone for the pics. mosaic2.jpg
update: 6 blocks done--I think this will be one of my larger quilts, a large queen probably. It's lots of fun to make. mosaic818e.jpg

The "number 59" was in the comments from the Quilted Twins website--that wasn't my comment.

I am new here and am searching for ideas on how to become a scrappy quilter when all I have done is coordinated strip piecing for many years but now have all these pieces too small for a whole quilt?

Oh, Amy, that's going to be sew pretty when it's finished! I used a similar approach when making a Sticks and Stones quilt - stuck the pieces in Ziploc bags marked 10", 8", 6", etc. It helped me stay on track for sure! Looking forward to seeing your Mosaic when it's all done!
