Unit A: Sew one 3-1/4" light square to one 3-1/4" dark square diagonally through the center. Seam again 3/8" to one side of the first seam. Cut between the two seams. (Seam allowances on both pieces will be between 1/8" & 1/4") Press to dark side. Using bias square, trim to get one 2-5/8" square and one 2" square. (2" squares are reserved for pieced border.)
Unit B: Sew one 2-5/8" light square diagonally through the middle of the square to one 2-5/8" x 4 -3/4" rectangle. Trim excess fabric and press to dark.

Sew Unit A to light 2-5/8" square, then sew this piece to Unit B. sew three more to make one block.
