Amalie Snowball Quilt Using Charm Squares

Has anyone made this?? Im working on it now using Moda's Awesome and yellow and burgundy fabrics to frame it. My question is Jenny said to trim the corner...is it ok to leave it in also to add dimension? (spelling impared) Im not making a quilt just something using one charm pack...so what it will actually be will surprise me ...haha

Laura, my recollection is that this uses connector squares for the corners, in which case if you leave it in then you have three layers of fabric in the corners so when you put the blocks together you seam has six fabrics, those corners where the seams meet (if not sahing) have twelve fabrics...see the problem. But to answer your question, if you are looking for dimension/fullness then yes leave them in, it's your quilt, go for it and have fun.

I usually only remove the centre piece of fabric from the corner and leave in the folded corner (obviously) and the original background square corner as I know this is straight/square for lining up to join blocks. The folded corners can end up not square with the block fabric. An option is to square up your blocks to the background and then remove the two lower fabric pieces.
