Does anyone know where the pinwheel block tutorial went? It was a neat one using 2 charm squares and sewing all around the outside before cutting. I can't find it now.
This is one of the tutorials that I can only locate on YouTube, so here's the link. I am watching videos while I sew today, what inspiration MSQC videos give!

Thank you.
If you go on Quilting Tutorials and click on View all Videos it's there.
ALL of the videos are on the "OLD FORMAT" page - you just click on the link at the very bottom of the current view tutes page to get there and then scroll thru them. I like this view better anyway. something else for GLYCG to play with next

My computer (or my server) doesn't like when I click on the old format link at the bottom of the tutorial list and that is why I just go to youtube for some of the videos.
Watching them that way is how I found the 2 newest videos, because there is a counter there and i noticed the # had gone up!

I'm going to make one of these too. What charm pack are you using. I bought Frolic to use. I look forward to seeing your quilt!
Ok I've watched the tutorial on pinwheels - which was an eye opener for me - now I have another question...
say I want 6 -1/2" hsts' what size would you start with ? I like to see a graph, well not graph, but list of starting sizes to get to a finished size? Is this possible?
To find out the size of the block to get a finished size?
I've never done the calculations, but it seems to me that you would have to start with at least a 7" block to finish with a 6.5" block. In my head this makes sense, but I don't know for sure.

Wow that is so easy to make I love it!!thanks Jenny.
Here's a pic of my pinwheels I am making into a baby quilt. I am thinking about adding a 2 1/2" inner border and then a 5" outer border. How does that sound? I'm used to following instructions or a pattern.

WOW that came out bigger than I thought it would! And that's not my final layout.
Looking good Sheila! Are those Caroler charm squares?
yep would border with the cream in 2.5" strip and then a 4.5" wide in darks and bind with the cream again.

Thanks and thanks for the input. The charm squares are Frolic. They are so cute. I have another pack... hmmm
Like Jenny said they are so easy to make and they are so darn cute. I want to do one in red, white and blue! I did use Bella in my quilt but I had to cut yardage into the 5" squares. My LQS doesn't seem to carry many precuts. Luckily there's MSQC And speaking of the Bella fabric-I absolutely love it. I know they carry it at MSQC-so I need to do some shopping.
oh yes - Frolic is very pretty fabrics! since you have another pack - build those into the wide border strip. that would really be cool. looking forward to seeing it
