    Scissors

Morning, I have gotten so frustrated in trying to keep my scissors sharp. How do you sharpen your scissors? I've tried several items.

I have a person who does it professionally. I bought my scissors in 1983 and they are still going. PLENTY of miles on them. Ask at your local fabric store, or where fine cutlery is sold.

Hum. I have never sharpened my scissors, but I know there are stores that do it in my area. I have also seen it advertized at quilt shows, to bring your scissors in for a professional sharpening. Good luck.

Interestingly, I bought a pair of scissors over 50 years ago. It was by Wilkinson, the ones that made razor blades When you inserted in the storage case, it sharpened every time. Now that was a deal for $10, on a teenage budget.

You can also ask your local hairdresser who sharpens their scissors.

I use the same one as Monique, just an older version.

My local JoAnn's used to advertise scissor sharpening day once a month. Recently I asked about it, had not seen the notice for awhile. I was told that the sharpening guy retired and that they no longer have that service. With so many LQS going out of business it is harder to find this, at least where I live, which is a big city.
