  • Tripple Grid Pinwheels

    Hi

I am saving what I can from my Mother's wedding bed linen.
They are somewhere between 70 to 60 years old and I took the top part of the sheet.
Where the lace and embroidery is.

I put a colored fabric beneath the lace so it will show up nicely.

When I was playing around with different fmq designs and trying to figure out what to make
It dawn on me that if I made a triple grid and filled in some parts it looked like a pinwheel.

So I am considering to use that as the overall pattern. I will make them as placemat, I think.

    Here are pictures

    What do you think ?

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

If I ever got it all together, I'd be too tired to do anything with it.
