God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Thank you Annika. Have a great day.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

It is all in the color placement isn't it?

I really enjoyed this tutorial.....I am going to put this tutorial on my "Honey Do List". My sister has just redecorated her master bedroom in Gray/White /Yellow(Mustard) and I think this would be a great quilt to make for her as a B-day gift using the colors she chose.

          Is my math thinking correct?

It looks like each block would need 10 charms and there are 9 blocks, so that's only 90 charms, so with Jenny's method (3 charm packs) you would have left over charms, ( which you could make coordinating pillows out of)

But my real thought is, if you used a layer cake instead of charm packs, and cut each 10" square down to 5" squares, then you would have 160 charms, and could make 16 blocks and a much bigger quilt.

Of course you would need to recalculate the background and border fabrics.
