I have made several of the wreaths using Bosal for the center. It is a fusible foam with a thin fabric coating. It comes in fusible on a single side, both sides or not fusible. You can buy it in packages of 18" by 56" or 36" by 56". And cut it to the size you need.image.jpg

I have used bosal. I have used it in bag making and for other little projects. It is like foam. There are a couple of different types and sizes. Some is single and some is double sided fusible while others don't have fusing. Another application of them is in the jelly roll rug. They can be used with placemats so I can see them used in coasters. Here is the ones that M* carries https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse?q=bosal

The Bosal for the rugs is different from the foam. It is basically a thin batting cut into strips. The placemat Bosal is a very heavily starched and compressed batting. All three of these products are different and can't really be used interchangeably.

Ah, Bosal is the brand name, and they have products (and it looks like M* carries a whole bunch of them) that provide different internal structure and/or loft. Pretty cool, as I only knew them from their 2.5" cotton batting rolls.

I bought a package, used it up and never bought another. There is something in or on it that I am allergic to that makes me get the hives and bloody noses.

I have used the Bosal foam for travel bags. It keeps the shape while making it washable.
