    It never fails.....

Tuesday evening I removed a quilt from the LA frame and was preparing to trim the edges. I reached for my 60 mm rotary cutter, but it wasn't in it's usually spot on the pegboard.

Looked in the drawer where I store extra scissors & rotary cutters, nope not there either. Checked all the drawers at my sewing table (8 total), and under the table too, still hiding from me.

Looked everywhere in my sewing studio, even picking up the one little pile of to be put away fabrics, and checked the trash can (in case I accidentally knocked it off the table), then it occurred to me, I emptied the trash cans Sunday and the trash men came on Monday

So off to Joann's I went yesterday after work for a new 60 mm rotary cutter. Get home, square up the quilt, then measure it to determine how much binding I will need. Picked up my notepad to write down the measurement and guess what made an appearance......

Never fails, lose something, replace it, and the original shows up!

Yep, been there. It's always something that you use all the time too! I moved my wastebasket about 6 inches away from my cutting table so anything that falls will wind up on the floor instead.

My phone does that to me all the time. I have some one call me to find it. I think I have pack rat gremlins in my house.

I should not tell you all this and it shows the little mean streak in me. When my husband used to make me mad, I just kept my mouth shut and hid the tv remote. Talk about a man that would go insane.

My binding tool is misplaced somewhere among my stuff. I haven't needed it, but I used it for the Binding Tool Star quilt. I don't use it for binding. I have another ruler I use for that. It's easy to misplace stuff.

Been there, done that, and will continue to follow in that pattern, I'm sure!

What is a receipt??? Oh you mean those little scraps of paper that accumulate in the bottom of my purse until I get a good handful of them to crumple up and throw away?

Actually, I had used the new cutter to square up the quilt before finding the old cutter.

I would lose my phone in the house. My son finally gave me a tile for Christmas, so I could just click the time (which was always in my purse) and it would ring my phone. Since I live alone, it wasn't feasible to have someone else call me. Best gift I ever received.
