    Last minute, easy gift!

A friend & I had planned to get together for lunch today. She texted me yesterday to let me know she was bringing a gift. Oops. I hadn't planned on exchanging gifts, lol. Saw this on FB - a kitchen boa! $5 at dollar General for 4 dish cloths, about 1/2 yard of frash abric & voila! Not counting the trip to the store, literally took me 15 minutes.

Thank you. I had seen this at a craft show last year and thought it was a neat idea.

I could use that myself! I am always wiping my hands on my pants. I bet they would be good sellers at a craft show.

I received one as a gift. It is wide and also keeps the top of your shirt free from grease splatters if you're frying, and long enough to pick up hot plates, or get something out of the oven as the towel ends are double thickness. I didn't t know what is was until she told me.

Sew much potential to dress that idea up more. You could embroider a recipe on it. You could put a pocket on it with a recipe card. You could put cooking utensils in the pocket....and gift it away.

                      Re: Last minute, easy gift!

Each year my LQS does a couple demos at her Christmas open house and this was one of them this year. She used a dish towel that was cut in half and then you had to do some pleating to make sure it fit. etc. They are cute but this idea with the wash cloth is even quicker. As we were having a 2 day open sewing event the same weekend as her open house, a lot of us make these and they turned out really cute.
