    1 million stitches

I picked up my 1 1/2 year old Babylock up from the shop today. The shop owner was amazed by the 1 million stitches that I have put on the machine in just 1 and 1/2 years of sewing. Is that a lot? I sew for about 2 hours a day.

    Yes, I think that's A LOT!
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?

Showing my ignorance here, how do they know how many stitched you made?

Not sure how she knew this. I think there must be something inside that tells them.

Interesting. I had no idea, but I guess it does make sense.

On a computerized machine, it has a screen that says the number of stitches the machine has taken. The sewing machine manual will say how to get to that screen.

My embroidery machine tells me the stitch #. I have a Babylock serger it it doesn't do that. What model do you have?

I average about half a million stitches a year, and I don't feel like I get to sew nearly as much as I would like. Almost all of that is from piecing.

Alrighty, I have a Husky I don't think it does that. lol, but the guy that cleans my machine can tell you it's well used. Speaking of which, I need to take it in and have it cleaned and checked. The button for raising and lowering the feed dogs won't move at all.
