Nothing like working to a deadline

Well I am almost finished quilting my Diamond Dash quilt. The top was done in a few days last winter, but I am just getting around to quilting it. Since I am using all these tops as practice quilts on our Sweet 16, I wanted to quilt each of the 80 blocks with a different design. Some using rulers, some FMQ, but all different. The fabric is Kaffe Fassett, so I am trying to complement each of these strong fabrics.

I presented it at my guild's meeting last night. The binding is on, and I had 1/4 of it hand sewn. I am getting faster. A few weeks ago, I did 20 blocks and it took me 3 hours. Yesterday, I did 40 in 3hours. I guess practice makes perfect and gets faster.

Now to get quilting the top for my grand daughter's 2nd birthday on Nov 4th. The top was done last January. I have about 8 more to quilt, and most are queen size. Better get cracking.

Yes, I eill start moving -- after another cuppa.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Good for you Sue. Happy quilting.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Practice, practice, practice. It's amazing how things work out like that.
