    What Singer is this?

Ok-a question for you guys who collect Singer machines. Does anyone know what machine this is?

I know someone will come along to ID it - sorry, they all look alike to me. Is it a treadle in a stand that has the scroll shaped legs?

      I think it's a 201. Or maybe a 15? It's electric and in a cabinet (instead of a case).

Does it have a potted motor in a hub on top behind the take up wheel and no belt? It looks like a 15-91. Looks like mine, which does not have a for pedal or treadle but a knee lever. But I think the 15 could also have a floor pedal. This is a picture of mine.
Sorry about the double picture. Disregard the first one. I clicked on it by accident and after it uploaded could not figure out how to delete it.

It's not a 15-91. If you go to this site, and you can ID almost any Singer machine http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/...r-machines.htm

Couple of places to go for clear ID and year of production....you should have the serial number so ISMAC ID help is here: http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...-database.html

The site mentioned by PrettyCurious is super, too http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/...r-machines.htm

Is there a serial number somewhere on the machine?

Looks like model 66, if checking Sandman's pictures are interpreted correctly. Are you starting to collect vintage machines? It can become an addiction!

15s always have the tension assembly on the end, not the front.

Well, I bought it. I have NO idea what I'm doing or why I'm doing it LOL. But I wanted to try playing around with vintage machine. I paid $40 Canadian for the machine and cabinet. The machine and cabinet are not in great shape but not in truly terrible condition either. It slowly runs.

The number on the front of the machine is EE530268 (the 3 and 0 are sort of hard to read because of a bit of old oil on it).

201 with regular (not potted) motor from 1948. The cabinet is beautiful! Have a great time with it! Good price!

Does anyone else see the face, head and shoulders in the middle of the cabinet top?
