Charm packs ARE the best for a beginner! Truthfully, that is exactly what got me into quilting. I was so intimidated by picking out a million different fabrics and cutting them all....Pre cuts made it all clear and much easier for me to wrap my brain around.
Good luck on your first project! If you have nay questions feel free to ask away....there is always someone willing to help around here.

Welcome!! I agree...charm packs are a great way to start..no cutting ... no choosing matching fabrics... makes for simple first projects. Can't wait to see what you come up with...we love pictures!!
