No time to make charity quilts but I have fabric to donate for the cause

My title says it all. Who would I send fabric to? Mostly I have 1/4 yard pieces but many colors so could be used in a scrap quilt. Unless you don't want pieces that small? Just let me know.

You can put it in the 'I don't want it, you can have it group'. I'm getting a box together while I'm cleaning.

You know that I will take it. I love the small pieces to work with. The variety really keeps me going with the Shriners project. If you want to send it to me, I would be grateful.

If you get to me, I would gladly take some fabric off your hands.
I make quilts for the June Brandy Foundation located out of OSF Children's Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. When my youngest grandson was born there, they had a lady who made gowns for the little ones, preemies. When I saw his gown, I talked to my daughter and she directed me to the foundation. I called the director and offered to make quilts and, of course, she happily accepted.
So, I could definitely use some extra fabric...for the babies.
        Thanks

Terry, if you don't mind, I'm putting your name & address on my bulletin board at home, so that if anything happens to me, my DIL & DH will know what to do with my stash - it's not huge, but I know every yard helps!

Not that I plan on going anytime soon.............

I also recommend advertising in the "I Don't Want It" group.

There are a lot of good works that can be done for a charity or even our own Comfort Quilts. In fact someone making a quilt for the circle of comfort can use left over charms!

And don't forget AuntieMern's PICU Quilts in Honor of Gabe. She makes pillowcases and quilts for the hospital where her grandson received treatment.

And then there may be some of our members who have their own financial restrictions who would really appreciate some fabric to work with.

Yes Blondie can always use those 'scraps' for her Comfort Quilts. I have her address if you need it. She doesn't get on here much these days, busy with family.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

I was also going to suggest Blondie....she does so much good for so many people. I have more than enough to keep me busy for a long time. Please consider Blondie, first and foremost...She doesn't always have access to fabric for her quilts, without the generosity of those on this forum.

Uhm, I suspect I'm not that much younger (if at all) than you, I will be 54 in April, but thank you for the complement anyway. However, I think you may have me confused with another "caroline" member, I don't have a daughter, only an adult son (with no ongoing issues with him), and an (ex)DIL who I love dearly and have remained close to.

69 in May. I fondly remember 54 though...wow, the energy I had. I was selling real estate then (mountain land specialist) and I hiked up those hills lickity split. Now, I trudge, leaning forward, arms a swingin'. But , I still manage to go down the mountain two or three times a week...which means I also have to trudge up. lol.

There is also the option of donating fabric to local quilt guilds that do charity quilts. The guild I joined recently did 500 charity quilts last year!

Alpha O, Blondie is a member of the forum who has done a lot of good for people here and elsewhere. She started the Comfort Quilts Group who make and send quilts to people who are going through a rough time to let them know they are loved and how much we care.
