    First finished project 2017

    Hi

I finished this table topper to night. Well. at least the fmq and binding anyway.

It was a topper that has been laying around as an ufo and I thought it was time to finish it and at the same time I could get some practise on the fmq.

Well, It was a good idea but in reality not so good. I could hardly see the thread on the fabric.

So I decided to trace the pattern on the backside of the topper and stitch from that side.

First I stitched in the ditch from the front so I had some boundaries on the back.

It turned out ok. It is hard to see the fmq but I am hoping that once I got it washed it at least would give me some texture.

Thanks for looking and Happy new year everybody!

Came out really nice. The texture should be really nice on this one.

Thank you. No or yes, depending on how you look at it.

I use my regular 6 x12 quilting ruler to help me draw the lines and then I quilted on the lines!

I do not have any free motion quilting rulers.

              Have a nice day!
