    Recap of 2016

The days have flown by. How many quilts has everyone accomplished this past year? I have one that needs binding which will put my count to 14! Most of mine were baby quilts, it was a bumper crop cotton kind of year with my co-workers mass producing children.
Blogging ahead.....research in quilting and sewing with a dab of cooking/recipes too.

    Re: Recap of 2016

I completed 8 quilts in 2016. Some were started in 2015! One was king size and one was a full size bed quilt. The others were large throws.

Also, 3 sets of placemats (6 - 8 in a set) and an assortment of pillow covers, mug rugs, table runners, coasters, and, the baby changing pad.

I also created more UFOs! But they don't count until completed! I am looking forward to being more productive in 2017.

So far I have completed 11 in 2016. The largest was a full size quilt, the rest have been lap size. I have 2 UFOs, one is a queen size that I cannot seem to finish due to emotional baggage... maybe 2017. I'm hoping to get one more lap size done in 2016. I still have not made a quilt for myself.

I hand quilt, so; yeah. I have completed 3 and have a 4th half quilted. These are full-size bed quilts. Also pieced 4 other tops and most of a 5th. Plans and fabric for 3 more.

I completed 16 this year. Quite a few of them were UFO's from the prior year(s) so it felt good to get those done. Of course I also added a few more to my UFO closet in the mean time. Heading to Joanne's this morning for more basting spray and batting, and hope to finish up another one this weekend.

Well, I cheat, I just make tops and then donate them to a charity that makes
them into quilts. At least 35- I did complete around 5 baby ones for gifts.
              Just made another top yesterday.

Just three lap quilts, one queen and blocks for a king. Several table runners and misc. small items. Do we get credit for what we bought!

I got a late start in 2016 but I managed to complete:
An Orange Peel quilt for my MIL; a king Plus Sign quilt in grays; a honey bee quilt; sashed half hexie throw; Flutterby quilt; 2 Christmas Present quilts; a Scottie dog quilt; a 'Hi' quilt; 6 table runners; 32 pillowcases for kids; a lighted Christmas tree wall hanging; 250 snowflakes and 50 angels for an Angel Tree for kids; and about 60 snowflakes and ballerinas for forum friends.

I doubt I will be as productive next year but I may surprise myself and sew up a storm.

Well...I feel silly posting this among all you productive quilters, but I completed my first quilt and am almost finished with a second quilt top - just need to add the borders. I also made 11 quilted bags, 5 pillowcases, 3 embroidered sweatshirts, 9 microwave bowl potholders, and an apron for Christmas gifts. I've done 5-6 lace snowflakes and angels the past couple of days and am having fun with those. I hope to finish some of my UFOs next year.
