Brother Scan N Cut 2 - cutting strips?

I was doing some initial research into this machine and it looks rather interesting.

My question is, can you use it to cut strips?

I looked at previous threads on this machine and didn't find anything.

    Thanks,

    Lynda

I don't own this machine, but I don't see why you couldn't....the only thing is, I think it only cuts one fabric layer at a time, so you'd be limited to the size of the mat I think.

That is correct, one layer at a time. I think the longest mat is 24".

I have an Accuquilt cutter and I can cut 6 layers at one time. If I have fusible ironed on, I can cut 4 layers (good for applique).
        It's real easy to use.

yes it can cut strips the size of the mat. But if you wanted something to make strips, buy a Stripology or June Tailor ruler. MUCH cheaper, easier to use and you don't have to prep the fabric with a ton of starch or Terial Magic.
