    Janome AcuFil Help Needed

Does anyone use the Janome AcuFil machine embroidery program? I'm having trouble sending a design to my machine and I think it's because the EmbF folder is missing in my AcuFil program. I'm confused and nothing I read addresses this issues.

It would be great if someone could help....thanks in advance.

My Janome doesn't use AcuFil, but I use AcuEdit to convert and send my designs to my 15000. Do you have that program? I have two other Acu... Programs, Design and ??? Which I haven't used, but maybe the AcuFil is proprietary to the 12000. Hope you can get things worked out.

Can you reload your program onto the computer?

I uninstalled and re-installed the AcuFil program and still there's no EmbF to send the designs directly to my machine. I tried using a thumb drive and that won't work either. This is the big disadvantage of not buying from a local dealer (not that we have any). I only have AcuFil.

Thanks for trying to help me, Jean

Barb, I'm busy for the next three hours getting carpets cleaned. But I think I can help you after that. Do you work on a Mac or a PC?

There is a very knowledgeable Janome dealer in Columbia, or my dealer is in St. Peter's ( Winston's Sewing Center). Perhaps you can contact them for help.

Is AcuFil the program that accepts your downloads of designs?

No, AcuFil is for stipple quilting. The HorizonLink is for embroidery designs.

Try this, https://janomelife.wordpress.com/?s=+AcuFil I have only set mine up once and found I needed to do 49 hoopings! (7X7) Changed my mind then.

                  Hi Barb,

Sorry this is way later than three hours. Here's my one idea for you. Check your class drive, making sure is set up with precisely this file structure (capitalization matters):
                  EMB > Embf > (your.acufil.file.name)

Janome machines are really picky about the file structure. Someone told me that after those first two folder names, you can be flexible, but I've never tried it.

Let us know if this helps!

Sorry. My spell checker said "class drive." What I tried to type was "flash drive."
