Make a Super Simple Squares Quilt with Jenny New Tutorial!
sigpic
God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.Tags: None

Sometimes the simple quilts are the prettiest. Jenny LOVES blue. I would make it in red/white or black/white. This would be a very simple quilt to enlarge or make smaller. It would also make a nice table runner. I think I just talked myself into a new project.

When I first saw the quilt I thought "Disappearing 9 Patch using 5 prints (corners and middle) and 4 whites". That's probably the method I'd use to make blocks that are already sashed.*~* Myrna *~*

Re: Make a Super Simple Squares Quilt with Jenny New Tutorial!
It's a simple charm pack quilt pattern. I'd be sure to measure my charms. I always thought they measured to the edge of the pinking, not the inside. That's the way I've been sewing them together. It would bug me if the white side strip was shorter than the edge of the charm. It's so pretty in the blue & white. I wonder how it would look if the charms were bright batiks & the sashing black?

I cut it twice and it was still too short!

I just finished making one of these. I have made several. One charm pack makes a great size for a PICU quilt. These are a couple I made a while back. So fun and easy to do.Blankets wrap you in warmth, quilts wrap you in love

I like to do this one and add the second sashing with the corner stone to each block as I go look like part of DP9 then once I have my layout I add the extra sashing to the end blocks or top blocks I hate doing long sashing rows.Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.
