    I used to make herbal microwave packs. Use flax seeds instead of rice..lavender, calendula, fennel, crushed cinnamon sticks, etc. When putting in the microwave, put a cup of water in as well and maybe sprinkle a little water on the pack...that will keep it from catching fire and it will get it smelling faster. Usng the right herbs will make the bag a healing bag.

    I have a microwave heat pack that is made from ALL lavender, so I think you'll be OK.

    I am making a new bag and cover for my microwave hot pack. Can I add some dtied laveder flowers or will they catch on fire in the microwave. I would use some from Trader Joes dryer packs.
