How do you are a quilter...

You spend the day in your sewing room wearing black socks (I don't wear shoes to sew) and at the end of the day your black socks look like a chenille quilt!

I cut it twice and it was still too short!

I'm sock quilter too, forever pulling strings off my socks.

Well, I don't have that problem - I quilt in my bare feet!

Barefoot, except during winter it's socks. Believe it or not it does get cold here!

Bare foot when it's warm, fuzzy socks when it's cold.

And I find when it's cold, at the end of my day when I sweep, there's less in the dust pan than on warm days. Could that be a coincidence?

I start out with shoes or sandals but end up slipping one off to sew. Then find myself in some other part of the house with one on and one off.

I always wear my SAS shoes & cotton socks, which I keep on. Too many needles & pins have disappeared into my shag carpet, which is a hazard. I'm more comfortable with that arch support. I don't do barefoot, partly because I have diabetes.

I pull off one shoe so I have a bare foot on the speed petal! I feel like I can control it better. But I immediately put the shoe back on when I step away from the machine. Doctor told me my barefoot days are over.

I wear those ballet type slippers around the house all the time. My sewing room is in the basement and the floors are concrete covered in vinyl-- cold! Besides, I have cats that sometimes have hairballs. LOL

I almost always use a lint roller to make sure the quilt is clean of batting fluff and strings...but my shirt or socks...nope :P

I use the lint roller on the quilts too, but it doesn't work on my socks!

I'm a one-shoe seamstress/quilter also. Even socks bug me on the foot pedal.
