    Larkspur Layer Cake Question

One of the daily deals today, Larkspur, is calling me!
It seems to have kind of a French look, with the birds and toile prints. Does any one have ideas about quilt patterns that have a French feel to them? Would you leave the large print fabrics as large as possible, and piece the smaller prints around them?

I'm going to have to go back and look at the DD. I didn't see that

Why not a lattice so you don't have to cut any of the blocks? And maybe quilt it with a fleur-de-lis pattern? Very pretty material

A lattice sounds good. With white, or maybe ivory as the lattice work? And a border of one of the large florals.......Yum!

That's beautiful fabric! How about the Prarie flower quilt. It looks flowery and picnic like.

I purchased the Larkspur layer cake as a DD and fell in love with it.
I decided to make a disappearing 9 patch quilt with it.
It's a fast and easy quilt and shows off the fabric nicely.

It is beautiful fabric! I bought two of the layer cakes a while back (king size bed.) I plan to just sew the squares together without cutting them, and put a border on it. Easy, and so pretty!

I was going to suggest that too!

I didn't quilt that myself. I took it to my longarm quilter.
This pic was taken just after I took it out of the dryer after washing.
It wasn't quite dry, so I laid it out to finish drying.
