Hancock Fabric Continues?

Rec'd email today stating Michaels has purchased Hancock Fabrics' fabric.

The email made it seem like they didn't buy the bankrupt company, but has bought only the fabric.

The email I received said that Michaels has purchased Hancock Fabrics' on-line business and its customer database. The main focus of the email was to tell us how we can opt out if we don't want to receive promotional emails from Michaels.

According to the info I have Michaels gets Hancock's database, trademarks, and domain names too.

Michaels replaced another craft company here in the 70's. They did sell minimal amounts of fabric then. What goes around comes around.
