of not buying fabric!! I had not bought a single piece of it since May 30. When MM offered me a daytrip down to Portland (home of Fabric Depot), it was just too much for me!! In all honesty, every piece I bought was for making bags, once I can sew again. And, I only bought seven pieces and a pattern! Two of them were vinyl and one is backed with a thin layer of cork!! I may try using the cork side out and see how that holds up. May need to make another trip down if it works the way I want it to.

Fabric Depot is awesome! Have you ever visited the Pendleton mill end store? If you hit it at the right time, and are willing to dig in the bins, you can find some really great deals. It is really a pleasure to work with such high quality fabric.Rescued is my favorite breed.

I've not been to the mill store....yet. I also want to go to a place in Portland called Josephine's Dry Goods. They sell very high end cotton that is wide width, 60" I think. I'm sure it costs more a yard than I am willing to spend.
I would like to go to Warm and Natural. It's not too far from the Elma General Store, which has a nice fabric selection. Plus, the pig bbq restaurant is just five miles down the road towards Olympia!pat.
