    math question

I need 60 fat eighths for a pattern which I need to purchase by yardage so I figured I would need 8 yards?

I can get 8 fat eigthths out of a yard
8x8=64 does this sound about right?

I question my ability to figure out my math?
    Thank you

Sounds right to me too unless you require more than 8 colors in the quilt. If you wanted 16 you would buy 16 half yard pieces.

Good point-I need to decide how many different materials or repeats I want.
