I think I just made a big (though inexpensive) mistake.
I went to Hancock's Fabric yesterday to see what might be left, and I purchased fabric for the backing of a quilt. I didn't even realize until it was being cut that there's glitter around the designs.
My desk scissors got ruined several years ago when I cut wrapping paper that had glitter on it. The glitter put a nick in my scissors that I have never been able to get rid of.
I also remember a quilt shop telling me not to buy a certain fabric because I'd "have a tough time sewing through that glitter."
Have any of you successfully quilted with glitter fabric? Do you have any helpful hints for me?
