    Another Garage Sale Bargain!

I forgot to post this last week. My mom & I went to a garage sale & I saw this small yellow cutting mat. I decided to get it to keep by my machine. When I picked it up the lady told me there were 2 more mats.....18 x 24 inch. So I looked them over to get the one in the best condition and ask how much they cost. She told me....."$2 for all 3 of them"! So guess who came home with 3 cutting mats! I just need to clean them. I might use one of them to make a rotating mat!

Ahhhhh....the frugalness of this purchase is so grand, but allocated funds you saved to purchase more fabric. Not that you need to, I'm just saying....

As quilters we all know that "want of fabric" is stronger than "need of fabric".

We never have good sewing supplies available at the "yard sales" in my town. Lucky you.

Good eye! I used to have that gray mat, that thing wore like iron. Mine was used when I got it, it took my hard use, and still it could've been cut up for a rotating mat but I was not in the mood and tossed it. Regrets? A little, but sections of it were all nicked from craft knives, I'd warped half of it with my hot tea mugs, I was really done with that mat.

Here's a tip of you don't want lines. I happen to know that rubbing alcohol erases the lines on that Fiskars mat. Alcohol is a solvent.
