Today hubby got me a Brother Innov-is 40 (the Project Runway model). After dinner I'm gonna head downstairs and break that puppy in!!

I just got a new machine Wednesday. I have a Singer Futura sewing/embroidery machine combo, but needed something simple for straight seams only (so I dont have to keep taking the embroidery gadgets on and off the big machine). Mr. Windy (*giggle*) asked me what I wanted for Valentine's Day, I told him I wanted another machine. I now have a Singer Simple and just love it! Not all the fancy gadgets and very easy to use....I can now use the big machine for embroidering at the same time that I am sewing!!

I have a brother 5000project runway and love it. I just got a new Baby Lock Quilters dream series to upgrade some of my abilities to quilt (ie. free motion) that I couldn't do on the brother. I love both of them and haven't had any problems with my brother at all. Yes, it was a Walmart machine for $139 but well worth the money and does a lot of stitches, designs, etc.

Yay!! Congrats Michelle!!! We have a Brother in the shop too, and LOVE it!! I hope the 'breaking' in went well! I can't wait to hear and see all the new projects you produce!!

I got a new machine a few weeks ago too. I got a Janome QC 6260. I love it too. My old one was over 25 years old. I like this one so much, I hope it lasts that long too.

Wow that's the one I want. Let me know how it works for you. My husband was thisclose to getting me that same model for Christmas but we decided to wait until my birthday (in July). Let me know if it's worth the $500.

I love my new machine!! It's super easy to use and works like a dream. Well worth the money...but you can get it cheaper than $500!! I only paid $349 for mine....I would look around for pricing Rosie...

where did you get yours? We saw it at sears and some other place and it was $500. Obviously I'd like to spend less especially if I have to pay shipping to Canada.

I got mine from a Brother dealer...they are just a local sewing shop.

Congratulations!!! I got a new Babylock Quilters Plus a month or so and there's nothing like the exictement of taking your new machine for a test drive
