God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Thanks for the link to the tutorial. They look so easy when she does it. I will have to try to do a block just so I won't forget.

I struggled with them in the beginning but since I started to draw the diagonal line and sewed on the side of the line, closer to the corner. They all coming out good.

I'm working on piecing a quilt that has lots of corner diagonals in each block. My first 2 test blocks didn't work out too well. Too many places that didn't match up right. But I made myself start drawing those lines and trying to sew 1-2 threads toward the corner away from the line. Now my blocks are coming together much better than my initial tests. Lessons learned!
