  • Big Star Quilt Top

    Finally finished the quilt top today. I am hoping to get it on the frame tonight or tomorrow. This quilt will go to a friend. This is made with Shenandoah Valley fabric.

              Ooo, that turned out really nice. I've yet to do one of these, I might just have to give it a go.

                      Thanks everyone. I'm working my way up to a Mariner's Compass then after that one of those 3-D quilts (like the tumbling block or something).

                          Shirley, this is just gorgeous. How many layer cakes did you use? One Shenandoah Valley print and one background? How large was the final quilt? Can you tell I'm excited to give it a go?

                              Thank you I bought 2 of the print layer cakes and I don't remember if I bought one or 2 of the solid layer cakes. I had fabric left over. It should be a large queen size...not exactly sure of the measurements.
