    Am I the only one??

    Good morning
Please tell me I am not the only one to get covered head to toe in thread and fabric pieces when I sew! Especially when I open a new jelly roll these itsy bitsy pieces of fabric lint are all over me! After a few hours of sewing I look like a wreck and it takes me lots of time to get presentable, and then I'm sure I still have thread stuck to my clothes where I can't see it LOL

I feel like I need a special set of coveralls or huge apron to put on before I sew.

Any helpful hints? or should I just invest in lint removers?

Lint rollers work well, I keep one in my desk. I prefer to sew while wearing my flannel pj pants (I like to be comfy) and the threads stick to them all the time. Mr. Windy laughs when he comes home and says he doesnt need to ask what I've been doing all day...lol

I have the same issues...... and I use a lint roller constantly. I'm always covered in thread and so is the rest of my house. When I get ready to go to church on Sunday, I have to check my clothes for threads before I leave the house.

I made the mistake one day of slapping a layer cake against my leg in my dark blue tech pants before work and guess what...I was covered in Night and Days shreddings. My husband just stood there shaking his head, it was my "Here's your sign" moment.

Maybe we need "quilting suits" made from fabric that thread and lint won't stick to. Can't imagine - it would have to be plastic. Yuk! Sounds way too hot. I will take the thread and lint.

You guys are too funny! I go to work in clothes that just came from the washer and dryer only to be typing and find a thread or two hanging from the sleeve or somewhere on the front of my shirt. Do those little devils hang on when there in the washer??????

Gosh, you guys make me laugh! Great responses. I was thinking I'd rather be covered with threads than a lot of other things! They define us, right???

I thought it was just me! ....and for some reason....when I do get down to sewing, I am always wearing a black top.....very noticeable with threads all over it! Can't hide what I have been up to!
