What started out as a DD......

.....turned into an order for over $120! I had all the good intentions of buying the DD (which I have 3 of already) and a layer cake. So just to make sure I didn't need an extra Dark Bali charm pack, I checked out my stash. Geez, I must have forgotten to order the Robert Kaufman Dazzle charms that I was going to order a month ago. Better get them now. WHAT??? Sold out forever??? You're kidding me! How is this possible? It was just yesterday (a month ago) that I was going to order them. So I search other online stores for the charms. Nothing. Back to M*. At least M* has yardage. I only need to order 1/2 yard pieces, ....... all the pieces. So there I am, with my tail between my legs, putting back the layer cake I was going to originally order (Kaffe Fassett) so I can feed my stupid addiction (obsession). (Somebody save me from myself!)

Oh, Joanne, I know TOO WELL how that can happen! I've been there too many times. But your fabric will indeed be 'Dazzling"

I fell in love with the very vibrant colors of Dazzle but just forgot to order them. Expensive lesson. We need a "kick me in the a$$" smiley.

Re: What started out as a DD......

I totally understand. I've done that so many times. Right now my shopping cart at M* had almost 190 dollars worth of fabric in it. I look at it.....'feel it' ..... talk myself out of hitting the purchase button....... go to the cart with the intention of removing everything... but I just cannot do it. I NEED ( okay want ) all that gorgeous stuff. So I shut down the computer before I can 'purchase.' The next time I go to the M* store... I'll fight the battle again. I'm so pitiful!

I can totally sympathize!! I love batiks but I told myself after organizing my stash, there is sooo much!! I really don't need anymore, especially charms. I almost never buy precuts, always yardage. BUT someone on the forum recently said that the scrap bag was fun, SO I see this lovely batik DD & figure I may as well get my money's worth for shipping what do I do?? You guessed it, I bought the charm pack & 2 scrap bags. And I have no idea what to do with it all. It's not a lot of money, but I'm beginning to think I have hoarding tendencies.

Oh I saw someone making a quilt with Dazzle fabric. Oh I wanted to steal her fabric, so bad, but a quilty friend she is so I let her keep sewing. The next day I had to go out and hunt some down for me, I found all the colors in the circle pattern. Can't wait to cut into them and make something neat.

I had to get one of every color and style. I am terrible at making choices so I get them all. Ugh. Thank God for the new job to fund my habit.
