    New Purex Detergent?

I saw an ad on TV for a new detergent from Purex that contains color catching ingredients. Anyone try it yet?

If anyone tries it let us know how it works. I'm still wondering how much Dawn we can get away with putting in our machines to remove color if it gets on areas where we don't want it. Was surprised to hear that works. I thought that was a great tip.

Me too! Will definitely keep that in mind. I just used a whole box of carbona color catchers washing the homespuns in my stash1

I saw that commercial also. I make my own laundry products, so I won't be trying it, but it sounds like a good idea so you can mix up your loads a little. I still wouldn't trust it with a colorful quilt. Color Catchers do the job like magic.

Rebecca, If you get the 'Non-Concentrated' Dawn you can use more of it than the concentrated formula. It will be marked on the front of the bottle. This is what I use when I make our laundry products.

This sounds very interesting. We've always used Purex Detergent and this would make it even better but I'm sure to be safe I'd probably still put one of the color catchers in.

No harm in doubling up the color catching.
I think I will get some of that on my next grocery expedition. Sometimes things sneak into the wrong load and end up pink, LOL.

Interesting! Laundry would be so much easier if I didn't have to worry about sorting! I may need to try this out for my regular laundry!

Makes me wonder what the excess color sticks to with just the detergent. The color catchers have that little piece of fabric to catch it ...

                              You have to sort?!

Kidding. I saw that commercial also and thought it sounded interesting. I was wondering if just adding a little Dawn would do the same thing. I was also wondering about using Dawn in a front-loader, since you are not supposed to use "sudsy" detergents.
