I'm sure this has been asked before.... But, I'd like to know if there are parts of quilting you could live without.
I'll go first.
I really don't like sandwiching anything bigger than a baby or crib quilt. I'm just barely 4ft. 10in., so handling large amounts of fabric and batting is not fun.... I get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of fabric/batting I have to deal with. That's why I don't make too many larger quilts.
I 'm not a great machine quilter, either.... I always dread that moment when it is time to start quilting.. STID is hard for me, so I am exploring other ways to do straight line, or wavy quilting. My new Brother Simplicity has some interesting stitches I want to try. I'm practicing my FMQ, too.
