    Charm pack question

Hi! Why are the edges of a charm pack triangular?

Not all are - it depends on the manufacturer. It is called pinking (like the old pinking shears) and is supposed to keep the fabric from fraying as much. I think I get more bits and fluff when working with the pinked precuts, but I love getting all of a line in one sweet package!

Are you talking about the ones with the edges pinked?

Or are you talking about turnovers? Which are triangle shaped.

The edges are pinked to prevent fraying. It drives me crazy because getting a 1/4" seam is difficult enough; that just compounds the issue, but I can see why it's being done.
