    Bonnie Hunters blog to day

Quiltville's Quips & Snips!!: When Quilting Mends Hearts --

I found that the prayer she wrote at the end of the blog text is so valid right know!

Love, hugs and caring for all that needs it extra much righ now!
    sigpic

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Thank you for posting this. I've said the Serenity prayer for years, but I think I'll be changing to Bonnie's version.
I know that keeping my hands busy with some quilting work has become my "go to" during times of
    stress.

    Thanks
    Sue

Thanks for sharing this......I printed it out in poster size to hang in my quilt room. Quilts can comfort the maker as well as the receiver.

There we've in tears when I was making Earl's comfort quilt.....there are lots now.... But, I has a great sense if urgency.... It was one if the very few lap sized quilts that I have made from start to finish in just a few days.... A friend longarmed it.

That quilt gave me great solace, when I saw it resting on my husband's casket...in lieu of flowers...and we used it as a pall... The night he fuel, I slot under it, sitting in jus favorite chair, with the two little dogs. I sleep under it often.... It's now my comfort quilt, and it means the world to me.

I am now working on a simple comfort quilt...Garden of Eden.... She has MS, and is having a rough time just now. She chose Ellie Ann...

I don't know what I would do without my quilting for the past year and half. It has helped me gotten me through so many bad days/nights with Chuck...when I just wouldn't know what to do or couldn't sleep...I just go to my sewing machine and sew, it is the best therapy available
