Today's DD is NOT Religiously Biased

You probably think I've lost my mind. But when I went to check out the DD, what I read was that the "Mormon Jelly Roll" was on sale. Looked at it for a full minute before my brain finally kicked into gear and realized it's really "Mormor".

    Oy... think I need caffeine

    Or new glasses
If you can't see it from 50 yards away on a galloping horse, it doesn't matter.

Hi hi the Word " Mormor means Grandmother on mothers side in Swedish!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Ha, you think that's funny, when I read "DD"; the first thing that came to MY mind was "dear daughter". So on I read wondering what the hey, why's her daughter religiously biased. Double duh! Geesh on meeesh.

Welcome to my world. I read a headline sometimes and then start the article and have to go back and check the headline to see why the article doesn't match the story. LOL! The eyes and brain don't read whole words, they look for patterns of letters and assume the rest. Well you know what happens when we assume.

I'm with you. A few days ago I read a headline that said "Turkey shoots down Syrian jet". I thought a turkey had got sucked into the intake and the jet went down. Nope, read the article and Turkey was bragging that they had fired on and brought down a jet. Boy am I naive. What a world. Quilting is so much happier.

Thanks, BobW, just what I needed to justify showing the gang here my very own, first quilt. Yup, I finished it, but was too (____) to show it on Forum here [fill in the blank] 'cause I know it is not show quality (which it was not created to be).

                    Cheers,

                        Lyric,

You are most welcome. I tell people who look at my quilts, if they want perfection go to the mall and buy a machine made comforter. I used to go to quilt shows and look at the quilts and point out that they had lost a point or a seam wasn't nested perfectly. Not any more. What those say to me is that it was made with love and I know that love isn't perfect.

I'm sure when you post your first quilt it will be stunning and we will all ohh and ahh over it.
