YIKES! I would TOTALLY do that! Your stitching looks pretty though, mine looks like 1/2" thread grass growing on the back of my quilt.

With this kind of problem, you should have a glass of wine BEFORE starting to unpick the fabric, one during - and the rest of the bottle after! :P

I'm so sorry that happened. I'm sure your feeling very frustrated. Deep breaths, glass of wine, and turn it over to see how beautiful your stitches are. Then tackle it with less frustration and more calm.
I hope the rest of the quilting goes off without a hitch.

Since it is scrap, trim very carefully along the quilting stitches on one side of the scrap then pull it from the other side and it should just sort of "tear away" specially if it is loosely woven
    .

This is what happened on a flannel quilt! It is very hard to pick stitches out of flannel.

We feel your pain! Go ahead and scream!

MAKE SURE YOUR YOUR TABLE IS CLEAN WHEN FMQing!!!
After nearly finishing , i discover i have picked up a piece of scrap fabric and quilted it onto the back of my quilt!! Fortunately, it is a very poor quality fabric with a loose weave, so i am literally picking it out thread-by-thread with a ripper and needle nose pliers!!!! i could scream!!!!
Working...
