Next Project - Please help with pattern suggestions!

I have a friend who has asked me make a quilt for her. She picked her fabric and I'm posting picks of it. Please help me with suggestions for a pattern (remember I'm a newbie, so not to difficult). I had thought about using the cat material in 10" squares and the pink in 5" squares, but not sure of it.

The tan fabric with cats is the primary, the pink is secondary. The black and white materials are for the backing. Please help me come up with a great pattern!

You could mix them all up in a Disappearing 9 Patch or a Double Slice Layer Cake. Those both are easy patterns. - OR - If you want to focus on the cat fabric, you could make it the center pc. in a simple 9-Patch. Are you wanting to use the B/W fabric that looks like newspaper articles on the front of the quilt? You could fussy cut each article to make a pc. & develop a block from there. - OR -The B/W fabrics would make nice 4-patches with the pinks. You could make 6.5" squares of the focus fabric and 6.5" 4-patches to make a 12.5" block. Each block would consist of 2 each, a focus fabric 6.5" and two 4-patches. Show & Tell when it's done. JCY

I think a double slice layer cake I think would do a great job on showing off the cat fabric. Jenny has tutorial for it too.

I made this for a friends baby. It was really easy to do. Use the cat print for your solid block and the pink and paw prints for your 4patch and use the newsprint for your back. The 4patches are done with strips so it's really easy.

Either one of these would be cute. Jenny has a zig zag tutorial that's very easy to do.

This is also made with half square triangles, just like the zig zag quilt. They're just arranged differently.

You could use the cat print for the colored triangles, and pink where they have white. In the zig zag quilt, you could alternate the cat print and pinks every other row.

Edited to add these aren't my quilts. I found them online and pinned to my pinterest board. They're on my to do list

Here is the pattern for the warm wishes. It's pretty much a rail fence and squares. Really easy to change sizes of the blocks.

                  I love your zig-zag Starlover!

This pattern is called" Too Cute To Cut". I am not sure if the measurements can be found on line. I have them somewhere. It is super fast and easy. It is a good sized throw and you could add boarders . You can use several different or the same fabric for the wide strips. I would probably use the newsprint for my main fabric .

I believe this is very similar to the Quick Strippie pattern. I have made one of these when I wanted something quick and simple without destroying the fabric too much.
