So happy to hear this. Motors tend to do this when run too long. I've had it happen on many things, especially my blow dryer.

Good news. You just gotta give it a cool off time every once in a while.

I have no idea about sewing machine but I do know some motors will shut down if they get too hot and once they cool they come back on.

try checking the strip if you have it plugged into one. Unplug it from the strip and directly into the wall. If that works check to see if the button on the strip is tripped. if that doesn't work, check the circuit breaker for that outlet. I had a heater on and the iron kept tripping the breaker. had to unplug the heater.
If none of the above works---

Ohhhhhhh, my heart goes out to you. Try unplugging it and then checking your electrical panel / fuse box. Sometimes, in my house, those just flip a tiny bit and suddenly I have a plug that doesn't work. I actually have to flip it all the way off, then back on.

    Wishing you luck!

    started a topic Arrrrgh!

    Arrrrgh!

I think I killed my sewing machine! I've been sewing all day and took a break for a few short minutes and when I came back it stopped. I have no power...it won't turn back on. I've checked everything. I have never had a machine die on me before. It's a Singer Futura Quartet. I know that many of you hate Singers, but I have never had any issues before now in all the years I've been sewing. I have two backup machines, but this one is my big one.
Working...
