    Hamilton Happenings

Just read the Friday blog and more good things are happening in Hamilton - 2 new eating spots! It is so nice to see how the town just keeps blooming, and due mainly to MSQ. I am super excited about these 2 because I am going to be there on my first ever retreat in April! Anyone else going to Layer Cake Luuuuv weekend?

Oh, I would love to go but I have so much other travel. I have kids and grand kids in 4 states, brothers in 3 states and my husband thinks I should go with him on his business trips since the kids are all grown. I'd rather stay home and quilt!

Quilting and food, what better combination is there. Another reason to visit Hamilton again.

Both places sound great. Not that it matters, but I wonder who owns them? And where are they located? I know Hamilton is really small, but I just wanted to know. I haven't been much further than the Subway. One older man told me about his family owning a restaurant down the street where Mr Penney used to eat. Wouldn't it be cool to have that place restored? ... oh wait, I think it had been lost in a fire.

Carol, I am pretty sure the Doan's own these also. I think they are trying to see how many of those empty buildings they can occupy, and keep the business in Hamilton. Works for me.

These are new builds. I'm pretty sure they went up in the empty lot between the quilt shop and the retreat center.
