    House Electric

Anyone ever heard of "House Electric" brand sewing machines?

    Is it current or antique?

Google came up empty, want to give me New Home, which is the old name ( and new name) of Janome machines.

Where did you hear about it because I came up with just a bunch of electric machines. I hope it's something cool we never saw before!

Someone here is town has one for sale. She says it 'needs parts' to get it running again. I can buy it for about $60 but I would offer less because it is not working. I think Symaskin is Swedish for sewing machine. The owner doesn't know anything about it except that it is nonworking. I did find that it could be a 'store brand' made by Singer.

        Hmmm.....

Sorry, my dyslexia must have kicked in. It's Electric House.

I know Swedish Leo is quite busy with family matters now but I hope that maybe Wwena will see this. Maybe she would have some input.

I certainly wouldn't be interested in a machine nobody has ever heard of that needs parts to make it work. It sounds like they might be hard or impossible to find.

It is also a 230 volt machine, made for European homes, not US.

Yeah, when you can't even get that brand to come up on a Google search, that is worrisome. I would be inclined to pass. Plus, if you can't even find the sewing machines, how will you ever find parts?

                Jean-I am considered Europe-silly!

I am going to pass on the offer. There are just too many if's.

Thanks for all the input and thanks to Wwena for the translation of what I did find.
