    Accquilt Cutting Machine ?

I recently seen a YouTube video about the Accquilt cutting machine, and was interested in the Sun Bonnet Sue Die for this machine.
This is a video explaining the Sun Bonnet Sue & Overall Sam Accquilt Die :

Do you any of you have this machine ? Is it bigger than the regular Big Shot Die Cutting machine that is used for paper crafting ?

Here's a pic of it from the Jo-Ann Fabric's online store

I will also add the YouTube Video I found on YouTube for the Sun Bonnet Sue Die.

If you have any info about this machine, please let me know ! I am really interested in the Sun Bonnet Sue Die, and would like to know if it would fit my Big Shot I use for paper crafting. There's also a BABY Accquilt Machine ???
This is the link for the Baby Machine : ( the pic of this machine is on the right hand side )

    Re: Accquilt Cutting Machine ?

your you tube link goes to dies for accuquilt STUDIO. that is a much larger and much more expensive machine. the Sue and Sam dies for the GO are 5"x10" and run about $35 each. You would have to see if the Big Shot can take a die 5" wide. I think it can. If you use the Big Shot you will have to shim the dies because the Go dies are not as thick as the Sizzix dies. You can NOT use Sizzix dies in a GO machine. They are too thick.

          Re: Accquilt Cutting Machine ?

When I started quilting, I was concerned that the cutting would hurt as I have arthritis. I did some research and bough the Accuquit. I decided against the Baby Accuquilt because it doesn't take all the dies.

The Accuquilt did what it was supposed to do-make cutting easier. And I must say it makes the process of making rag quilts 100% easier (but, I don't make rag quilts anymore LOL). I have learned to space my cutting so my hands don't hurt as much as before. And I bought a rotary cutter that is nicer to my hands.

My review is that I like the Accuquilt but I think it is a bit expensive and if I had to do it over, I probably wouldn't buy it.

The Accuquilt is great for cutting shapes such as Sun Bonnet Sue. If you can figure out how to use your Big Shoot and only buy the die, then that would be great!
