Machine Embroidery ??????

I have a Viking / Husqvarna Designer SE.....and I would love to know ( and do ) more as far as embroidery. While I have decided to sign myself up for embroidery classes, is there any YouTube Embroidery Tutorials out there that are for those of us who are beginners ?
I took a couple of embroidery classes when I first got the sewing machine several years ago, but have a chronic illness, and I haven't taken any classes since 2009......
I would like to learn how to do embroidery on pillowcases ( I love making pillowcases ) and to do embroidery on towels. ( which I would love to make towel sets for Christmas 2014 )
So, if anyone has stumbled on a website that has great tutorials, or a great YouTube tutorial, I would love to see it.
While I don't mind reading written instructions, I prefer visual instructions ( such as YouTube)

You should come join the embroidery group. There is about 50 people there. Lot's of conversations and links

Go to youtube and type in Digi Stitches.. she has very good video tutorials.. B

There are a couple of good books like Machine Embroidery with Confidence by Nancy Zieman that gives a lot of information about threads, stabilizers, etc. I basically just jumped in and tried a few test things. It took a couple of tries to get the stablizer and fabric hooped correctly and practicing positioning but you will pick it up easily. Also, do join the Embroidery Group.

I think you really just have to jump in and DO it Definitely watch what you can find for tutes, but understand that you WILL make mistakes, so don't sweat it when that happens! (I call my mistakes a learning experience - if I learned what NOT to do, then it was worth it...)
As Ahamblin said, Nancy Zieman has a few good videos that originally aired on her PBS show, but you can watch them on her site for free

Embroidery Library also has lots of tutorials and tips, their designs are kind of dense but they stitch out nice. San Francisco Stitch has little projects on their yahoo site that if you join she gives the design out each Friday and you can see what others are doing. There isn't anything going on right now but join and see what she has. Love that site.
